This is a very simple word mat that will help reinforce the topic of ‘Mo Theach’ when you’ve introduced it. My students find these useful when they first begin to compose pieces of written work. Sometimes at the end of a lesson it’s nice for students to show their knowledge/learning in a way that does not involve you marking or students writing. I also find that for some students, written knowledge checkers can place them under unnecessary pressure, especially when you have just introduced a topic. These matching cards are fun for students and can be used as a challenge task, a group activity, a starter or a plenary. I like printing and laminating various copies and placing students in groups. We have competitions to see which group can finish first. There are 23 animals in this set. Please note that these files are .pdf only.
